About the Project
The Modernization of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Project is intended for farmers (small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises) willing to invest in agricultural productivity improvement through agricultural machinery and post-harvest equipment.
Funding terms:

[1] For young or female beneficiaries – a beneficiary managed by a natural person aged between 18 and 35 inclusive as on the date of the documentation submission, or a woman, whose capacity or position of administrator is registered in the State Register of Legal Entities and individual entrepreneurs or in the Register of Homesteads Records

- Equipment for cold stores / refrigerators
- Sorting machines
- Pre-washing / washing equipment
- Dryers
- Packaging machines
- Processing machines
- Forklifts
- Large scales / weighing machines (for trucks/pallets)
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria when applying for the Modernization of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Project:
- They are an agricultural producer and carries out agricultural activity in the country’s territory, including production, growing or cultivation of agricultural products, as well as primary/finishing processing of agricultural products, milking, raising and keeping animals for agrarian purposes or maintaining land in good agricultural and environmental conditions, agro-tourism;
- They are a legal person in compliance with the private law having the profit-making purpose or individual enterprise (including homestead) duly registered;
- They are not in insolvency proceedings by the court decision, or no application to initiate insolvency proceedings against the applicant has been submitted to the court;
- They are an agricultural enterprise:
- Small size- having up to 50 employees, achieves up to 25 million MDL annual turnover or has total assets of up to 25 million MDL;
- Medium size– having from 50 to 249 employees, achieves up to 50 million MDL annual turnover or has total assets of up to 50 million MDL;
- There are no registered debts towards the Agency;
- There are no arrears with the national public budget.
